WITH its highly anticipated production “SMASH! Greatest #1 Hits” less than two weeks away, the Jubilee Dance Studio in Nassau is working hard to present its audience with an “extraordinary showcase”.

The production will be shown on May 23 at the Rainforest Theatre and will feature dance, song and drama numbers.

It will also feature some of the Billboard Charts No 1 hits from international superstars such as Beyonc, Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and more.

The show’s variety of performances will keep the audience on their toes and the many twists, turns and surprises will create a superior night of entertainment, according to Kim Kikivarakis, owner of Jubilee Dance Studio.

“This show is celebrity based and will be over the top and reminiscent of celebrities we know and love with our own comedic and dance spin on them,” Ms Kikivarakis told Tribune Arts and Entertainment.

“We have over 100 of the country’s best performers. Our youngest performers are three years old and our oldest are in their 60s. The kids and adults have been working day and night to give people our best performance yet.”

Ms Kikivarakis said people can expect the same fun and diversity this year as they did during the school’s previous productions.

“Our last two shows were phenomenal and this one is even better. Our last show took our audience on a trip around the world.

“Our first show took our audience to the streets of Broadway, and this show brings our audience into a party of singers and their No 1 smash hits over the last four decades,” she said.

Ms Kikivarakis said what is special about “SMASH! Greatest #1 Hits” is that it is geared towards all ages of both genders, and all of the songs the dancers will perform have topped the Billboard charts over the years.

“We expect to sell out again as we did in both of our previous years. We expect to put on a creative show that people have never seen before,” Ms Kikivarakis said.

“We expect to be the talk of the town again as we present the greatest dance show of the year.

“It will be crazy, unexpected, creative and fun. There will be lots of surprises, laughter.

“The production is great for family and groups.”

Jubilee Dance is a modern dance school which specialises in ballet, jazz and choreography for formal dance. It recently introduced a Latin-inspired Zumba fitness programme.

Classes are led by Ms Kikivarakis, a trained dancer for over 28 years. She is also the Minister of Dance for the Eagles International Training Institute.

“All classes are driven to excite the mind, body and soul,” she said.
