Men in hospital after shootings

TWO MEN are fighting for their lives in hospital after they were shot in separate incidents on Thursday night and Friday morning.

The first incident occurred around 7pm in Fox Hill. According to police, officers received a report of a shooting at Armbrister Street. When they arrived they found a 31-year-old man of Fox Hill Road suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in his body. He was taken to hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

A few hours later, around 2am on Friday, police received another report of a shooting, this time at Penny Saving Bank Lane off Claridge Road.

On arriving they found a 44-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in his body. He was taken to hospital where he is also listed in critical condition.

Police say shortly after 2am, three men armed with firearms approached the victim in the front of his residence. An argument occurred and the victim ran off, but the men pursued him and shot him multiple times before driving off in a silver Honda Accord.

Investigations into both matters continue.
