TWO American citizens have been arrested after they were allegedly caught attempting to smuggle drugs worth an estimated $50,000 onboard a vessel at Freeport Harbour.
Inspector Terecita Pinder, police press liaison officer, reported that during a routine search, two clear plastic packages of suspected heroine were found by security officers strapped on one of the women as they were preparing to board shortly after 11am on Thursday.
Police were alerted and the both women, aged 22 and 30, were arrested and taken into custody for possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply. Inspector Pinder said the drugs weighed 1.4lbs.
