NATIONAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS MEET

THE Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture is scheduled to hold the Frank ‘Pancho’ Rahming National Primary Schools Track and Field Championships 9:30am today and Thursday at the Thomas A Robinson Track and Field Stadium.

Schools entered from New Providence are Albury Sayles, Bayview Academy, Carlton E Francis, Claridge Primary, Cleveland Eneas, First Step Academy, Freedom Baptist School, Hillcrest Academy, Kingsway Academy, Palmdale Primary, Queen’s College, St Cecilia’s, St John’s College, Teleos, Temple Christian, Thelma Gibson, Trinity Christian Schools and Yellow Elder Primary.

From Abaco - Agape Christian School, Central Abaco, Cooper’s Town Primary, Crossing Rock, Fox Town, James A Pinder, Sandy Point Primary, St Francis De Sales, Treasure Cay Primary.

From Acklins - Salina Point Primary, Snug Corner and Lovely Bay.

From Andros (North, Central and South) - Behring Pont, Bowen Sound, Burnt Rock, Deep Creek, Fresh Creek, High Rock, Lowe Sound, Mastic Point, Nicholl’s Town, Red Bay’s, Stafford Creek and Staniard Creek.

From Eleuthera - Deep Creek, Emma E Cooper, Governor’s Harbour, Green Vastle, Harbour Island, James Cistern, North Eleuthera, Rock Sound, TA Gibson, Tarpum Bay and Wemyss Bight.

From Exuma - Forest Primary, Moss Town, Mount Thompson, Roker’s Point, Stuart Manor and Williams Town.

From Grand Bahama - Bishop Michael Eldon, Bartlett Hill, Holmes Rock, Hugh Campbell, Martin Town and Walter Parker.

From Inagua - Inagua All Age School.

The official opening ceremony will take place at 9:30am today followed by the competition.

CITY BOWLING LEAGUE

THE top player in City Bowling League competition last

night was Ken Braithwaite of Phil’s Food Services who led his team to a 3-0 whitewashing of a very sound team in Giga Tech. Brathwaite toppled the pins for a 226 second high game and an outstanding 628 high three game set.

The men’s runner-up MVP of the evening was Yule Hoyte of the Ten Back Strikers, who struck for an outstanding 243 high game and a 625 second high set. The ladies were led by an excellent 564 three game set from Joy Lockhart of Unique Discovery. Lockhart was followed by Xynea Johnson of Phil’s Food Services with another good set of 533.

Angie Smith of Mario’s Flaming Bowlers dropped the pins for the high game of 213 with Tara Johnson rolling over the pins for a 205 second high game.

Results of other scores of the evening were as follows: Phil’s Food Services 3, Giga Tech 0; Telco Enterprises 3, City Leaguers 0; Carib Construction 2, Commonwealth Electrical 0; Mario’s Flaming Bowlers 2, TK Falcons 1; Ten Back Strikers 2, BEC Shockers 1; Asue Draw Knights 2, Checker’s Cafe 1; Bahamasair Flyers 2, Unique Discovery 1.
