POLICE are investigating two separate armed robberies that occurred on Tuesday, May 27.
In the first incident, shortly after 11am, a man was about to make a deposit at a bank in the Madeira Shopping Plaza when two men armed with a handgun robbed him of an undetermined amount of cash and sped off in a white Honda Accord vehicle.
In the second incident, shortly after 11pm, a man and a woman was at East Bay Street in the area of Harbour Bay when a man armed with a handgun robbed them of a cell phone and cash before fleeing on foot.
Investigations are continuing.

THREE men ages 18, 19 and 20 are in custody after they were arrested for attempted armed robbery on Tuesday.
Police reported that shortly after noon, officers from the Northeastern Division acting on intelligence arrested the men for questioning about an attempted armed robbery at Mackey Street.
housebreaking
TWO men, ages 28 and 29, with a 19-year-old girl are in custody after they were arrested for housebreaking on Tuesday, May 27.
According to reports, shortly after noon, officers from the Eastern Division, acting on intelligence, arrested the suspects shortly after receiving a report of a housebreaking at Colony Village.

SHORTLY after 4:30pm Tuesday, officers from the Mobile Division acting on intelligence went to Celery Drive, Yellow Elder Gardens, where they uncovered a handgun in an abandoned building.
In the second incident, shortly before 11pm, officers from the Flying Squad were on patrol on Martin Street, where they saw a man acting suspiciously. The man on seeing the officers fled on foot. The officers gave chase, but were unable to catch him. However, the officers recovered a handgun that the man threw to the ground.
Investigations are continuing.
14 arrests
MOBILE Division officers made 14 arrests over the past 24 hours. Suspects were arrested for fraud, fraudulent use of a license plate; possession of an imitation firearm, unlawfully carrying arms, assault, outstanding court warrants. Forty-two drivers were cited for various traffic offences.
