POLICE yesterday said they were on the hunt for eight “armed and dangerous” men who are wanted for questioning in connection with several murder investigations.
They are also looking for three men to question in connection with possession of dangerous drugs investigations.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Stephen Dean appealed to the public to surrender the men and warned anyone who might be hiding them of the consequences.
He said: “We need to get some dangerous people off of our streets in New Providence. (These are) some persons who are (allegedly) wreaking havoc (in the community). There are some people who are just hell bent on killing and committing crime so we intend to pursue them.
“The police have been doing some work behind the scenes and we have identified some persons (allegedly) responsible for serious crimes, particularly murder.
“We want to send the call out there to persons who might be harbouring them that it is a criminal offence to harbour persons or a wanted fugitive in our country.”
Police want to question 25-year-old Jamal Gibson, aka “Eggie”, of Step Street, Fox Hill. They believe he can help with several murder and armed robbery investigations. These crimes took place in the Bernard Road and Fox Hill areas.
“This is no person you want to have in your house, that you want to have in your company or that you want to be associated with. If you know where Gibson is we are asking you to turn him into the police,” ACP Dean said.
“We need him,” he added
Police are also looking for 25-year-old Gibson Baptiste, of Golden Isle Road; Jermaine Scott, 30, of Dominica Street, Golden Gates #2; 22-year-old Carson Farrington of Sandilands Village; Dwight Jones aka “Whitey”, 23, of Pinewood Gardens; and Michael Renaldo Mackey, aka “Murder”, of Yellow Elder and Augusta Street.
Stanley Taylor, 32, of Turnquest Alley, and Sharad Curry, aka “Rattie”, are also wanted for questioning in connection with open murder cases.
Additionally police believe Adrian Edgecombe, aka “Ponter”, of Grant Street, Kenric Wright and Dwight Morisson can help with their investigations into drug cases.

Post the pics on a Police website with all relevant details!
Guess our Government (whether PLP or FNM...doesn't matter anymore....all the same!) should have built a much bigger prison before building a much bigger Nassau International Airport. U.S. Dept of State officials and U.S. Embassy officials stationed in The Bahamas are telling jokes about our lamed brained politicians (whether PLP or FNM) who have been elected by lamed brain Bahamians who think there will be a major increase in tourism before there is a significant decrease in crime! In case you are too rich to have noticed, Nassau airport taxes included in the portion of the total ticket price for flights outbound from Nassau are now so high that tourists will not consider coming to Nassau for cost reasons unless our Government/Bahamian taxpayers are willing to grant compensating outbound travel subsidies for the guests staying at our major hotels. Problem is, the IMF, S&P and Moody's all know our bankrupt government can no longer afford these necessary subsidies to attract tourists to our crime ridden country. WHAT A ROYAL JOKE! Obie, where are all of those Chinese tourists who will come to our country and never leave?! JUST ANOTHER ROYAL JOKE!!
