THE highly anticipated launch party to celebrate the new Enigma Bahamas Carnival Group will take place this Saturday under the theme “Unleashed”.
Since the debut of the Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival Road Fever Costume Expo in September to promote the May 2015 Carnival celebrations, the group has quickly became a hot topic throughout the Bahamas, quickly garnering a following of more than 2,000 on social media.
From performances at local events to appearances at restaurants, on the streets of Nassau and in Miami, Florida, Enigma has been on the move. And this Saturday they will express their thanks to their supporters in the form of three grand parties, all at one mega launch event.
“The Foam, Water and Fire” festivities will take place at the Gold Blossom Mansion on Goodman’s Bay. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Giggy Fyah and singer Stileet. Guests can also enjoy a fashion showcase by the Oceans of Enigma.
“Since the expo, Enigma has continued planning unbelievably exciting experiences for our clients – the “Enigmatics” – who will own the road during the Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival in May 2015,” said Enigma’s Darren Bastion.
“We have also been developing our events leading up to 2015. Our launch affair is going to be a really fun-filled event and is designed to be a treat for all those who attend.”
Mr Bastian said Enigma has a very motivated, creative and committed team and everyone understands their role and work together to get the job done.
“We don’t always agree, but we respect each other’s talent and ability. We also keep each other motivated. God has blessed us with a great team of young professionals and for that we are grateful,” he said.
As to what sets Enigma apart from other road fever groups, Mr Bastian said their business approach to promoting their brand is very different.
“At Enigma our first thoughts are always, ‘How can we do this differently?’, ‘What is it going to take to exceed customer expectations?’, and ‘What is the most creative way to do this?’. People should join the Enigma movement if they want to experience the premium carnival group that is focused on an all around carnival experience that is different, unique and well priced,” said Mr Bastian.
He said they are also socially conscious, partnering with a local cancer group to bring more awareness to the disease.
“We have even produced a pink costume which is designed to keep the (breast) cancer awareness message out there. So we are more than just the premier carnival company, we are dedicated to making a positive difference in our community,” said Mr Bastian.
The group recently hosted their official costume photo shoot on October 26 where the concept was to feature popular scenic spots around Nassau. Bay Street was the main focus for the shoot.
Members said Tomii Culmer, the current Miss Universe Bahamas, was the focus of every camera phone when she worked Bay Street like a runway model showcasing the Ocean’s of Enigma “Queen of Pearls” costume for Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival 2015. Members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force were also featured.
“It was amazing to see the crowd response when we displayed the costumes. People were really impressed with the costumes that we have developed. I really have to say thanks to our entire team who worked all day prior to and during the photo shoot to ensure that everything went well. Great job guys,” said Ms Bastian.
He said persons will get an even better idea of what Enigma has to offer at this Saturday’s launch party.
“We have added a number of components to our event that none of the other companies have done. The ambiance and setup of the event is going to be off the chain. We are really focusing on creating a ‘wow’ event. Our plans are coming together wonderfully, so our patrons should expect a top shelf experience. We have some other artists coming that we are not ready to reveal just yet, but this is going to be a Bahamian and soca musical explosion. There are going to be a lot of prizes and surprises. We are going to do this big and you really have to be there to experience this,” said Mr Bastian.
