A JURY was empanelled yesterday in the Supreme Court trial of a man facing a murder charge, but the start was delayed by legal discussions between prosecution and defence counsel before presiding judge Justice Indra Charles.
Axanthio Patrick Thompson, 27, of Sea Breeze Lane, denies the murder of Aaron Hepburn on May 30, 2012.
Hepburn, of Stewfish Drive, Carmichael Road, was shot and killed after being approached by a gunman in First Street, The Grove.
Thompson has retained Jomo Campbell to defend him. Uel Johnson and Viola Barnett are prosecuting the case. The trial is expected to begin today at 11am.
