POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of an 11-year-old boy in Andros.
Assistant Commissioner Stephen Dean said the boy was at home in Behring Point with other children, believed to be his cousins, when he was shot after 10am on Saturday.
Police are investigating reports that the boy was playing with the gun before his death.
Initial reports suggest that no adults were present at the time of the shooting.
ACP Dean said police are talking to a few people, who are assisting with the investigation.

This is the sad down-side to giving civilians the right to bear arms.......... innocent kids die and there is no better public safety.
Last year Britain had 50 murders and the top US murder city with millions of people had 300 murders ....................... we had 120 murders with 400,000 people................... SAD
