Paradise Plates a success

THIS year’s Paradise Plates has been voted a success as guests sipped and sampled some of the finest cuisines and drinks the island has to offer.

The annual fundraising, organised by Hands For Hunger, has quickly become one of the island’s most anticipated events for foodies and supporters of a good cause.

Those attending at Atlantis, Paradise Island, on Saturday night were also entertained by live bands, including Ira Storr and The Spank Band, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Band and Ordain Moss.

There were live cooking demonstrations from Food Network affiliated chef Monica Hutchinson, who transformed a rescued food item into a delectable treat.

Since 2008, Hands For Hunger has provided over 500,000 meals to members of the New Providence community facing hunger and food insecurity through a food rescue programme that currently serves 13 recipient agencies.
