UNDER THE theme “Pastors, Now is Not The Time To Bow,” the Pastors Of Prayer (Bahamas) recently celebrated their 11th Anniversary service.
Bishop Ian Brathwaite, President of the Pastors of Prayer (POP), delivered a hard hitting sermon and admonished his fellow prayer warriors and their congregation “not to bow” to the modern ideology and doctrines with which they are confronted daily.
He further stressed specifically to the Pastors in attendance that now is not the time to bow. He told them that issues are facing people in Christ in the Bahamas to bow to gambling, Value Added Tax (VAT) and many other topics of conversation.
The sermon was delivered at the anniversary service for the fellowship of Bahamian intercessors at the Bread of Life Baptist Church, Lee Street, Nassau Village.
Bishop Brathwaite reminded his fellow prayer warriors that help comes from the Lord, and what the Lord does not provide, gambling will not provide without grief, increase in crime or family decay.
He reminded the pastors that God promised to supply all of their needs. “Trust in the Lord and do not give in and bow to the handouts and promises from man because ‘it’s no time to bow’.”
A significant highlight of the anniversary service was the anointed intercessory prayers led by wives of the Pastors of Prayer Fellowship.
Prayers were offered for pastors and their families, the Bahamian government, sick and shut-ins, prisoners and blessings and favour on the youth of the nation.
Bishop Chester Rolle, POP Liaison Officer, moderated the service, Bishop Hansel Kemp, Advisor to the Bishop, gave the invocation, and Apostle Amos Rahming, Father of POP, said the Prayer of Commitment for members.
On September 15, the POP held their annual outdoor prayer service at Revival Faith Mission Church, Revival Faith Way off Malcolm Road.
