A LIVE leadership simulcast featuring world-renowned motivational speakers, including John Maxwell, will take place in Grand Bahama tomorrow.
Margo Victor, of VMI, said the John Maxwell L2: Learn–Lead Simulcast will be broadcast to hundreds of locations around the world, including Freeport. Ms Victor and Kelley Russell, of Celebrate Freeport, have been bringing the John Maxwell’s Leadercast to Freeport for more than five years and have received overwhelming feedback from participants. The premier half-day event will be held at Ruby Swiss Restaurant, beginning at 9am.
“Participants will join literally hundreds of people around the world to learn practical tips that can be implemented immediately to increase their influence as leaders,” Ms Victor said.
In addition to Mr Maxwell, participants will also hear from such leadership experts as Linda Kaplan Thaler, a best-selling author and chair of the advertising agency Publicis Kaplan Thaler, and Tim Sanders, internet pioneer and author.
Mr Maxwell is a best-selling author, coach and speaker who has sold more than 24 million books in 50 languages. Often referred to as America’s No.1 leadership authority, Mr Maxwell was identified as the most popular leadership expert in the world by Inc. Magazine in 2014. He has been voted the top leadership professional six years in a row on LeadershipGurus.net.
Ms Victor said the speakers will inspire and share their expertise to help leaders succeed in their various leadership roles. She believes the Learn-Lead Simulcast will expand people’s capacity to lead and open doors for them to connect with other influential community leaders in Freeport.
Ms Russell said the telecast is live and numerous speakers – such as doctors, lawyers and sport coaches – who are successful leaders will encourage and motivate people with their stories.
“They tell their story and participants are encouraged to do what they do better. We have seen the changes of persons who were participants and started out as workers, and they are now business owners and leaders in this community. So we are seeing the results of what this telecast is doing,” she said.
