SAC CRUSH THE CRUSADERS 10-0

By RICARDO WELLS

THE bats of the St Augustine’s College junior boys softball team came alive early yesterday as they defeated the Nassau Christian Academy Crusaders 10-0.

The Big Red Machine needed only three innings to take out the Crusaders behind pitcher Austin Knowles.

NCA’s defence had no answer for Chartom Ferguson and Leon Miller, the duo taking the Crusaders for four runs and six RBIs.

Miller felt that yesterday’s game was the team’s best of the season.

“We could have performed a little better on defence but we are starting to come together,” he said.

Ferguson acknowledged his key performance but applauded the team for its united effort.

“As a team we did really well, we played off each other,” he said.

SAC now stands at 2-1 for the season and ready to make a push for the pennant.
