THE EXTREME Youth TV show, known for bringing diverse programming to young viewers, is back and will be aired next month. The show, which was first launched by entertainer Vincent “V-Mac” McDonald several years ago, is expected to uplift youngsters and provide a backstage pass to some of the most exciting happenings around town.

V-Mac, who is also the creator of 242 Untapped, has expanded his efforts to reach young people and give them encouragement on consistent basis.

The young gospel musician developed V-Mac Productions and Extreme Youth Entertainment while was still a freshman in high school.
At the time, V-Mac was the youngest gospel producer, singer, performer and record label owner one the Bahamian gospel scene.

He balanced the demands of producing events and school work while pursuing his new-found hobby in media and television.

V-Mac also began entertaining requests to help launch careers in the field of music production, songwriting, composing and arranging, stage setup and music video production.

After getting all of the camera equipment he needed, he began hosting, filming, directing and producing a nationally televised series with his Extreme Youth TV, which aired one new episode each week.

The show’s goal was to provide teens with an uplifting word and to also take them behind the scenes of concerts, expose them to culture, introduce new artists and music and more.

V-Mac said he is now excited for the show’s relaunch on Cable 12 in mid-November.

“EYTV is a youth pop culture show, with a concept of highlighting every and anything that is ‘popping’ from music, sports, education and more. EYTV is also taped before a live studio audience,” he told Tribune Arts and Entertainment.

“The show was launched because I personally felt that our nation’s youth needed an outlet to express themselves freely, to be heard and to be recognized, and this is the perfect way for this to be done.

The show will also be hosted by Bahamian singer Wendi Lewis, whom V-Mac believes will add flavour to the show.

“The producers though that Wendi was the perfect fit simply because she has a wealth of knowledge in the music and entertainment industry. She has an amazing personality and a beautiful spirit. Plus, the guys will watch the show just to see her,” he said.

Having the same sort of impact the show had when it was first launched several years ago is what V-Mac envisions for the relaunch.

“We want to go to the extreme. We want to bring viewers the best in entertainment, news and education. This show will provide exposure like none other. It will also provide opportunities for aspiring artist, poets, filmmakers, and the list goes on,” he said.

“People can expect to be entertained, edified and motivated – all at the same time.”
