BLTA juniors and ZNS in mini-tennis 'Play and Stay'

THE Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association’s (BLTA) junior development programme, led by Kim O’Kelley, joined forces with ZNS to introduce mini-tennis ‘Play and Stay’ to the youngsters, who attended the back-to-school event.

The junior players, all current national team members, were Shannon Francis, Donte Ambrister, Sierra Donaldson and Afrika Smith.

The BLTA thanked ZNS for the opportunity to promote tennis at there event and to give our juniors a chance to give back to the community.

On site were BLTA president Elwood Donaldson, treasurer Omar Smith, BLTA secretary Darnette Weir, former secretary Barbara Carey, and NTC director Sandy Reid, an official coach of the BLTA.

The BLTA looks forward to many more events to expose tennis to as much children in the community as possible.

For more information on junior tennis, interested persons are urged to contact the National Tennis Centre at 323-3933 and ask for Sandy Reid.
