ASSOCIATION OF
CHIROPRACTIC
HOW long you decide to benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you. If you ask different people why they go to chiropractors you will get different answers.
If you ask someone who was relieved from chronic headaches, they will tell you to visit a chiropractor because we help headaches.
If you ask someone who has had their neck or back pain removed, they will tell anyone who suffers from neck or back pain to have chiropractic care for that reason.
If you ask someone who has experience relieve from a asthma or breathing problems, they will tell people with breathing problems to under chiropractic care for that reason.
The fact is that the goal of chiropractic is to remove any spinal nerve interference we find and let the body turn on the inner healing powers already existing within your nervous system.
Correcting vertebral subluxations promotes natural healing, vitality, and strength in body function.
For this reason, you will continue to hear of many different problems that people will claim have been helped by chiropractic.
It is simple science – if a nerve is blocked off due to spinal dysfunction (subluxations) then whatever that nerve serves will not work correctly until the nerve blockage is removed.
That is chiropractic.
There are three phases of care people can choose:
• Initial intensive care:
If an ache, pain or obvious symptom has prompted you to begin chiropractic care, the first thing you want is to feel better. Office visits will be frequent and the objective of your adjustments is to reduce the build-up of damage, which will help to offer relief. Depending on your age, condition and lifestyle, visits over weeks or months may be needed to reduce or eliminate your symptoms.
• Reconstructive care:
Muscle, other soft tissue and sometimes organ damage remain after the original symptoms improve. Reconstructive care stabilises your spine and promotes correct healing via your nervous system. Quite commonly people begin to get better function in areas of their body they were having problems with that they first thought were unrelated to chiropractic care. Typical changes may be better intestinal function, better lung function, reduced blood pressure, more energy, better sleep, etc. All depending which nerves were affected as a result of the spinal subluxations.
• Wellness or maintenance care:
When maximum improvement is reached, periodic chiropractic check-ups are recommended. These wellness visits can detect and help correct new problems before they become serious. Health conscious adults choose this type of care for themselves and their children. Like other preventive health measures, wellness care can prevent many health problems from existing in the future. People under wellness care are shown to have over five times less health problems overall than the average population and have been shown to live longer.
