Getting set for wahoo

BAHAMAS Sport Fishing Network (BSFN) expert David Rees is anticipating a bumper wahoo season with reports of the fish already being caught throughout the archipelago and along the Florida Coast.

Wahoo season normally starts in November but last year they were hot and heavy at the beginning of October.

If the current trend continues, the wahoo season could be in full swing by the end of September, making many anglers anxious with anticipation for a great season in the Bahamas.

Mr Rees caught a wahoo in Abaco while the crew of Chubasco Charters found a few early wahoo this week near Nassau.
