URCA engineer gains vital qualification

Waldon Russell, a case officer and electrical engineer with the Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA), is now a registrant of the Engineering Council (EC) of London.

The EC confers this designation upon persons who first qualify for membership in the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), and gain the professional title of ‘Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Mr Russell’s most significant accomplishment to date is the design, construction and management of a $2 million National Spectrum Management Project.

This included the design and building of strategically located towers; the design and construction of a multipurpose monitoring vehicle; and the design and building of several computer systems to facilitate URCA’s spectrum monitoring obligations.

The Chartered Engineer (CEng) designation, which is recognised internationally, gives Mr Russell the right to use the CEng designation and logo.

Does he know anything about electricity and keeping the lights on? If so, he's desperately needed elsewhere.
