Crimestoppers defeat the Cybots

THE Police Crimestoppers pulled off a huge 102-89 victory over the Bamboo Shack Cybots to cut the Bahamas Government Departmental Basketball Association’s best-of-seven championship series to 2-1.

At the DW Davis Gymnasium on Monday night, Mark Hanna exploded for a game high 38 points with 10 rebounds, Vernon Stubbs had 23 points and Ishmeal Curtis contributed 16 as the Crimestoppers handcuffed the Cybots. Dario Seymour helped out with eight, Freddie Lightbourne seven and Darren Knowles six.

In a losing effort, Eugene Bain ignited Bamboo Shack with 35 points and 14 rebounds. Ernest Saunders had 22 points and Georgio Walkes rounded out the double digit scorers with 10. Cordero Seymour had seven points and Brian Bain six.

Game four is set for 8pm tonight, game five is scheduled for Friday and, if necessary, game six is to be played on Saturday.
