A MAN, shot in the leg and robbed of $2,100 cash early yesterday morning in Freeport, has been detained in stable condition at the Rand Memorial Hospital.
Inspector Terecita Pinder said police are searching for two male suspects in connection with the armed robbery and shooting incident that happened shortly after 1am at East Atlantic Drive.
Ms Pinder said one of the suspects was about 6ft 1in, of light complexion, and wearing a blue hoodie. The second was described as about 5ft 10in, wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, and armed with a handgun.
She said the victim attempted to flee, but was shot in the leg. The culprits then searched and robbed him of cash. The victim was taken in a private vehicle to the hospital, where he was treated for his injury.
Investigations are continuing.
