AUTHORITIES say they need the public’s help in solving a robbery in which a man was held at gunpoint and his vehicle stolen early yesterday morning in the Sea Breeze Lane area.
According to police, at around 3:30am, a 25-year-old man had just arrived at his home with his 27-year-old female companion. As the couple was getting out of his white 2002 Honda Accord, a man with a handgun approached them. The gunman demanded the keys to the vehicle and sped off.
Meanwhile, police said three men forced their way into a home in the Baillou Hill Road south area with handguns attempting to steal valuables. At around 3am, police said a 21-year-old man living in the home reported that he had been asleep when the robbers entered.
The gunmen ordered him out of the house. He then ran, prompting the men to chase him. Several gunshots were fired as he escaped. He was not harmed.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the nearest police station, 919, or 328-TIPS.
