THE Water and Sewerage Corporation is joining the ranks of progressive companies that provides billing by e-Notifications. This allows customers to get account notifications on their smart phones, tablets or computers.
The e-Notification system was recently rolled out by WSC in July and gives customers updates about service and payments via their smart phones. Customers can also manage their accounts, file complaints and see frequently asked questions through e-Notifications, which is a free service available when you sign up via WSC’s website.
Since the launch of the e-Notification campaign over 10,000 customers have signed up for the service and, with another month to go to win a new phone, the corporation is hoping to double this number.
“While we recognise that not every customer has an email address,” said Visna Armbrister, WSC public affairs manager, “we are hopeful that we can get more customers, particularly Family Island customers, to sign up between now and the end of September for the final drawing.”
Two winners have already won a Samsung Galaxy S4 and the third and final winner will be drawn by the end of this month.
The third winner will be drawn on September 29 and the corporation is encouraging everyone who can to register. “The main reason for the starting e-Notification was because many customers were complaining that they were not receiving their billing statements on time or at all for various reasons,” said Ms Armbrister. “With just an email address customers can get on-time and online billing statements on their smart phones, which is fast, efficient, and let’s face it, saves some paper.”
You can sign up for e-Notifications either at WSC or at http://www.wsc.com.bs/Signup.
