Burger King (Nassau) has invested almost $1 million to launch its latest restaurant on Carmichael Road, a move that will create 61 jobs.

The fast food franchise opened the doors of its latest location, in the Shops at Carmichael Plaza, next to the Scotiabank branch, on Wednesday. The outlet brings the total number of Burger King restaurants in Nassau to six.

Ash Henderson, marketing director for Restaurants (Bahamas), Burger King (Nassau’s) operator, said the Carmichael Road outlet would create employment for 55 staff as well as six managerial positions, bringing the total workforce at Burger King (Nassau) to 230 employees.

“We have invested nearly $1 million in our new location. We’re so proud of this new, state-of-the-art Burger King, featuring the newest brand identity and we can?t wait to show it off,” said Mr Henderson.

The new location will exhibit the brand’s new ‘20/20’ design model, with a contemporary colour scheme, digital display interior menu boards, free Wi-Fi, and drive-through access .

“The restaurant features the newest concept from Burger King, showcasing an entirely new exterior and interior design, with new seating and the latest kitchen equipment, as well as digital interior menu boards and newly designed drive through menu boards with order confirmation screens. All of these improvements help to illustrate the brand’s newest identity,” Mr Henderson added.

Mr Henderson said Burger King’s expansion to Carmichael Road was driven by the area’s rapid residential and commercial growth.

“Carmichael Road is one of the fastest growing areas in New Providence. We wanted to ensure that we were able to bring the Burger King brand to as many of our loyal customers as possible, no matter where they live or work,” said Mr Henderson.
