POLICE arrested a man and a woman after seizing 14 pounds of marijuana in Exuma.
The arrest happened just after 6pm Friday.
Police said a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, along with Exuma police, acting on intelligence executed a search warrant at the suspects’ home in Rokers Point, Exuma.
Police allegedly found the marijuana, worth an estimated $14,000, in the home.
The suspects, a 39-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, are expected to be arraigned in court this week.
Last Monday, police arrested a 40-year-old man after they searched his vehicle and discovered cocaine with a street value of $12,500.
According to reports, Drug Enforcement Unit officers, acting on information intercepted a blue Nissan Maxima driven by the suspect on Marrow Road, Garden Hills number two.
The officers searched the vehicle and found one pound of cocaine.
The suspect is a resident of Opulent Road.
