A MAN appeared in Magistrates Court yesterday accused of injuring a police officer with a car on Sunday.
Brenville Hanna, 34, of Garden Hills #2 appeared before Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans facing a charge of causing harm and seven counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
It is claimed that he intentionally caused harm to Constable 3769 Rickeno Johnson on September 21.
He is further accused of using his car to assault Officer Johnson his fellow Constables Devano Smith, Ohillil Carey, Deangelo Rolle, Samuel Rolle, Alvin Hepburn and Christopher Wilchcombe.
Shortly after 2am on the day in question, police were conducting an operation at Baillou Hill Road South when they signaled a motorist to stop.
The driver refused and attempted to drive off in the direction of the officers. One of the officers, Johnson, was injured as a result.
Hanna pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and is scheduled to reappear in Magistrates Court on November 5 for a bail hearing.
