LABOUR and Public Services Minister Shane Gibson attended a church service in Freeport on Sunday for the long-serving civil servants who are retiring this year.
“Every year, my ministry celebrates the achievements of public servants who have given so much of themselves over the years and who deserve recognition for the hard work and sacrifices they have contributed to nation building,” Mr Gibson said.
Mr Gibson told the group attending the service at the Pro Cathedral of Christ the King that he hopes God opens new doors that will satisfy their desire to give and make a lasting difference in the world.
“May they find many receptive hearts and minds for the wisdom they have to offer and many recipients to receive their love and care,” he said. The Permanent Secretary, senior officers and staff of the Ministry of Public Service attended the event, the first of the annual public services week.
