On the same day, 327 other people also had their cellphones robbed from them at gunpoint but didn't bother reporting it to the police, as Doing so is utterly pointless - the police don't care, or else they'd have spent the last 20 years making sure these robbers were a)unarmed and b) aware that they weren't going to get away with it.
Sadly, neither things have happened as the police have had far more important thing to do, such as chicken snacks and sirens.

last 20 years? Your beloved FNM was in power for 12 of those, and 3 years prior, not to mention 5 of the past 8 years. So, how you like them now, Harry Wackoff..

A friend of mine had their laptop stolen out of their car at the International food festival but they never reported it. It wasn't an expensive laptop, they said it's probably already sold and they'll never find it, it would cost them more headache than buying a new one. I didn't agree but that was their perspective...

There is some tracking software you can install on your laptop. Do a google search for free keylog software, or free spy software - they have it for Windows and Mac. There is also software for smart phones but they usually cost a monthly fee. Once setup, you can "spy" on your laptop/phone from anywhere in the world. So if someone steals it - depending on which software you installed - you could turn on the webcam, plus track their every move online. The phone spy software lets you even listen in on their calls (eg. spyera.com). ~ MAJOR.
