Alone the fact that they were able to attract several new converts to their cause has made the latest “Battle Cry” conference a great success, organisers said.
Under the theme “Call To Duty”, the event was presented by the Pulse Youth Church and featured speakers Elnathan C Rolle, Shamron Musgrove, Deno Cartwright, Eman A’Leithia Sweeting, Johnny B, DJ Counsellor, the Salem Dance Team, Send Judah, V-Mac and many more.
DJ Counsellor, an organiser, for the event, said the conference’s message was well received and lives were impacted in a major way.
“The event was very successful. We have had a lot of success with people in the community. We have several persons who got saved and there were more persons who made the decision to turn their lives around as the conference continued,” he told Tribune Religion.
“We got a good response from the children in the community. When we get them to come out to church it is always something that should be celebrated.”
“Battle Cry”, DJ Counsellor said, is a mantra that the Pulse Youth Church will use throughout the whole year. He said the aim of the event was to get young people fired up and excited about making a change wherever they go.
“As believers, it is easy to become church cultured, but being able to actually participate and share your faith helps you to be more accountable,” DJ Counsellor said.
“We wanted to encourage those young people to be disciples and go out there. By us firing up our youths we expect them to be sparked when school starts up in September.”
The Pulse Youth Church plans to host several other outreach efforts in the upcoming weeks which will involve giving clothes and food to those in need.
“Instead of just setting up on a stage and performing for them, we want to touch them. Now the youths are going to be put in a position where they will minister to people and reach out to others their age,” he said.
DJ Counsellor said he believes that many of the young people who attended this edition of “Battle Cry” were inspired to commit themselves fully to discipleship.
