POLICE are still looking for a 40-year-old San Salvador man who has been missing for a week.
Chief Superintendent Clayton Fernander, acting officer-in-charge of the Central Detective Unit, told The Tribune yesterday that officers from New Providence and San Salvador were still searching for Pedro Levant Williams, who was reported missing on August 16.
He was last seen at 9:30pm that day.
Yesterday, Chief Supt Fernander said there is nothing to suggest foul play or that the missing man has died.
In an earlier interview about the incident, Chief Supt Fernander said police from New Providence were dispatched to the island last week to bolster the search.
Chief Supt Fernander, who told The Tribune that he is also from San Salvador, added: “We got to find him.”
Mr Williams is described as a light brown skinned male, approximately 5ft 10in and weighing 220lbs.
Anyone with information on Mr Williams or information regarding any crime is urged to call police at 919 or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) in New Providence or 1-242-300-8476 for the Family Islands.
