TWO MEN are dead after a car crash on JFK Drive, New Providence, early on Sunday morning while a search continues for a fisherman missing off Eleuthera since Saturday morning.
According to reports, police were sent shortly after 12.30am to JFK Drive south of West Ridge after a report of a traffic collision and discovered that a black Honda Accord had crashed into a utility pole.
On examining the vehicle, police found the lifeless bodies of two males who were pronounced dead on the scene.
Search and rescue efforts are continuing to find a man who went missing while fishing in waters off Eleuthera on Saturday.
According to reports, shortly after 11am, two men were fishing in waters three miles off Governor’s Harbour when their boat capsized, throwing the two of them into the water. One of the men was able to swim to a nearby cay where he was rescued by a passing boater. However, the other man identified, as 39-year-old Robin Cadet of Governor's Harbour, remains missing.
Police along with Royal Bahamas Defence Force officers are leading the search and rescue efforts.
