Freeport man, 22, in hospital after shooting

GRAND Bahama Police are investigating a shooting incident that resulted in the hospitalisation of a 22-year-old Freeport man on Wednesday night. A 43-year-old man is assisting police with their investigations.

According to police reports, shortly after 11pm, the victim was walking in Adventurers Way when he was approached by a man with a handgun. The gunman fired several shots, hitting him in the chest area.

The victim was taken by private vehicle to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
