A 25-year-old Coral Harbour resident is in custody following the seizure of nearly seven pounds of marijuana, according to police.

Police said shortly before 4pm on Thursday, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), acting on intelligence executed a search warrant at the home of the suspect at Kent Drive, Coral Harbour. They found seven pounds of marijuana.

The man was taken into custody for questioning.

A 22-year-old male of Balls Alley was also taken into custody after being arrested for possession of dangerous drugs.

According to reports, shortly after 7pm, DEU officers conducted a search of the suspect and found a quantity of marijuana in his possession. The suspect was taken into custody and was expected to appear in court today to be formally charged.

Investigations into both matters are ongoing.
