POLICE shot and seriously injured a man early yesterday morning when he was reportedly caught breaking into several stalls on Potter’s Cay Dock and removing the generators.
The shooting happened around 3:30am on Thursday.
Police say they received reports that a man was seen breaking into several stalls at Potter’s Cay Dock. When they arrived at the dock, they saw a 31-year-old man breaking into a stall.
Police confronted the suspect and a violent struggle followed, resulting in the suspect being shot in his abdomen.
Police conducted a search of the area and found that three generators had been removed from stalls near the suspect’s vehicle.
The man, who is well known to the police for a number of serious offences, was taken to hospital where he is listed in serious, but stable condition, and is under heavy police guard. Investigations continue.
In other crime news, police are asking for the public’s help in locating six men responsible for three armed robberies Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
In the first incident, shortly after 10:30pm on Wednesday police said a woman was standing in front of her home in the Stevenson’s Subdivision, when three men armed with a handgun robbed her of her green Cherokee vehicle, license plate number 91997, and sped off.
About 30 minutes later, police said a man was standing in front of his home located at Tucker Way, when two men armed with a handgun robbed him of his silver Toyota Vitz vehicle and sped off.
In the final incident around 12:30am Thursday, police said a man was outside of a business on East Street South when three males, armed with a handgun, robbed him of a deposit bag containing a large amount of cash and sped off in a silver coloured Toyota Tercel vehicle.
Investigations continue.

Hardworking honest people are relentlessly plagued by these jackass's running around breaking, entering and robbing them.
Fortunately the police were well on their game and caught this lowlife idiot in the act.
They should have head shoot him one time and be done with him instead of now having to waste court time, taxpayer money and incarceration expenses for this heartless animal.

The thief will steal ............. because there is a black market for their goods. We live in a society hell bent on criminality (active or complicit).
