TWO women were sexually assaulted in their homes in eastern New Providence over the weekend, police reported.
Chief Superintendent Paul Rolle yesterday said preliminary investigations did not suggest that the two incidents were linked.
The first assault occurred on Saturday at a residence in the St Anne’s area.
Mr Rolle said: “On Saturday afternoon, a female alleged she was at a residence in the St Anne’s area where a male unknown to her came into the residence and forced (himself) upon her and assaulted her sexually without her consent.”
The second victim was sleeping at her St Michael’s Road home when a man armed with an object forced his way in. The man allegedly robbed her of cash and then sexually assaulted her sometime around 5am yesterday.
The culprit reportedly fled the scene on foot.
Anyone with information that might assist these investigations is asked to anonymously call police at 919 or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS in New Providence or 1-242-300-8476 in the Family Islands.

no riots in the streets yet so don't look for any changes. Nothing to see. Move along.
