THREE men were shot and taken to hospital in two separate shooting incidents on Friday.

Police said that around 1.30pm on Friday, a man was standing in front of a business on Parker Street off Polhemus Street, when three men pulled up in a silver coloured Nissan Teana vehicle.

One of the men fired several shots at the victim before speeding off in the car with his two accomplices. The victim was rushed to hospital where at last report he was in serious condition.

In the second incident, shortly after 8pm on Friday, two men were at Peter Street near East Street, when they were both shot in the thigh. The men were rushed to hospital where at last report they were in stable condition.

Investigations are continuing.
