Arianna wins bronze at the Pan Am Games

Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace has won the bronze medal in the women's 100m freestyle at the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada.

Arianna, the second fastest qualifier from the morning heats, finished with a time of 54.15, behind gold medal-winner Chantal Van Landeghem of Canada with 53.83, and the USA's Natalie Coughlin in 54.06.

Van Landeghem set a Pan Am Games record, lowering the mark set by Coughlin in the morning heats by 0.002 seconds.

It was the Bahamas' first medal of the games. Arianna will compete in the 100m butterfly on Thursday and the 50m freestyle on Friday.
