Budget 2015-2016…Real Property Tax on owner occupier pensioner.
It’s all well and good to make this valuable concession but is it for - a year or…?
Useless if just for fiscal 2015-2016 it should be at least for five years or more, inscribed in Real Property Tax Act.
I understand the proposal now is that the residence has to be occupied by a recognised Pensioner, presumed through NIB, value under $1m.
There is no mention of Real Property arrears... I think such a concession should be tied to payments being totally paid up in full except where obvious financial position cannot make such a payment.
We all have to be responsible in paying back taxes that’s why we have VAT collected by the businessman for government – that’s why government has all this additional revenue which it could not in the past collect – considerable credit to the Chamber of Commerce and those who fought so hard to get a VAT system which made sense. Clarification from Finance Minister please.
