CABLE subscribers in the Family Islands were last night left without access to ZNS due to an outage.
In a statement, Cable Bahamas said that the outage was due to an issue that the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB) was experiencing with its “uplink” facility at the New Providence headquarters.
Engineers at BCB were working to remedy the situation.
Subscribers on New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco and Eleuthera were not affected, as they receive their ZNS signal through the cable operator’s submarine fibre optic network, which was fully operational.
