THREE gunmen robbed bus passengers of cash on Saturday before jumping off the jitney and fleeing on foot, police reported.
The incident was one of four armed robberies that took place that day, police said.
Details of the bus robbery were sparse, however police said that shortly after 4pm, a man was driving his public service bus on Claridge Road when three armed men robbed several of his passengers of small amounts of cash.
The thieves then jumped off the bus and fled the area.
Police also reported that just before noon, a man was walking on Thompson Boulevard, when two men in a Honda Accord, license plate number 263352, armed with a handgun robbed him of a DVD player and sped off. A short while later police, acting on intelligence, arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with this incident.
A few hours later, just after 6.30pm, two men armed with a handgun robbed a store at east Shirley Street of a small amount of cash before fleeing on foot.
In the fourth incident, shortly after 9.30pm, a man was walking on Carmichael Road east, when two men in a Honda Accord, armed with a handgun, robbed him of a small amount of cash before speeding off.
Investigations continue.

Now we can just hope that since the officials have the actual license plate they can zero in on these worthless pieces of human flesh and rid the earth of them!
