AN ALTERCATION between two brothers late on Friday night ended with one being stabbed and requiring hospital treatment and the other arrested and taken into police custody.
It was one of two overnight stabbing incidents in Freeport that have left two men, aged 23 and 33, in the Rand Memorial Hospital - one in serious condition - and Grand Bahama police investigating.
Inspector Terecita Pinder, of Grand Bahama Police, reported that, shortly before midnight on Friday, two brothers in the area of Frobisher Circle were involved in an altercation in which one was stabbed to the face. The 23-year-old was transported to the hospital, where he was seen by doctors and later released. His 32-year-old brother was arrested and taken into police custody.
Two hours earlier, a 33-year-old male was brought into the Rand Memorial Hospital suffering from stab wounds to the stomach. Police reported that while in the Hearne Lane area he was involved in an altercation with a group of males when he was stabbed. His injuries are listed as serious.

Why is this news? And why did the Tribune even bother posting this story?
Whenever a random act of violence does take place that deserves a public discussion forum, the Tribune usually disables the ability to comment on such items. Yet, they post stories, such as the above, that have little bearing on anything and are of little or no consequence.
