Hunt for suspect after man shot outside nightclub

Police are hunting for a suspect after a man was shot outside a nightclub early on Saturday morning.

According to reports, shortly after 2.00am, three men were about to enter their vehicle outside the club on Claridge Road, when a man approached and shot one of them before fleeing. The victim was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.

• Police are also looking for suspects after an armed robbery and two attempted armed robberies.

In the first incident, shortly after 9:00pm on Friday, three men armed with handguns entered a business establishment on Fire Trail Road and robbed the proprietor and several customers of cash, jewellery and cell phones before fleeing.

In the second incident, shortly after 2:00am on Saturday, two men and a women were standing outside of a restaurant on Dunmore Avenue, when a man armed with a handgun attempted to rob them. A struggle ensued that resulted in the gunman firing a shot at the victims before fleeing.

In the third incident, shortly before 5:00am, a man was walking on Market Street, when two men approached and demanded cash. The two men then stabbed the victim and fled after he told them he had no money. The victim was transported to hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
