THE Commonwealth and Global Payer Grotto is celebrating 16 Years of prayer ministry to the nations. This quiet place of prayer, meditation and worship is the prayer ministry of Trinity City of Praise and is embedded in the hills of Nassau, overlooking the city.
Founded by Apostle Ed Watson and Prophetess Lee Watson, has provided intercessory ministry to many in the Bahamas and around the world.
Just this year, the 24-hour prayer centre has hosted several national prayer initiatives, including three national prayer motorcades.
Hundreds of intercessors and concerned citizens prayed as they drove around the island of New Providence united in prayer for the Bahamas.
The final motorcade ended in a grand praise extravaganza that was a brilliant display of more than 13 churches crossing denominational lines to pray and praise God for the country and its people. And in August, the Prayer Grotto hosted the Jericho Prayer Walk around Baha Mar, praying for the barriers that are holding back the progress of that property to come down.
For this 16th anniversary, the Prayer Grotto will celebrate with prayer, prayer and more prayer.
During four days of fasting and breakthrough prayer, believers will gather for times of prayer and intercession. The celebratory events began yesterday and continue until Saturday.
Events include a Midnight Cry Service on Friday at midnight with special guest speaker Prophetess Jasmin Dareus of Freeport.
The celebrations will conclude in a 24-hour breakthrough prayer marathon that will begin tomorrow at midnight and run until Saturday at midnight. For 24 hours, intercessors will pray in one-hour intervals in the Prayer Grotto.
“Continuous effective prayer will be released for breakthrough for our nation and the church. All believers are invited to participate in these powerful times of prayer. When believers unite, the miraculous happens,” the Prayer Grotto said in a statement. For more information, contact 341-8164.
