WHO do I lash out at in a week when the logic of football goes completely out of the window?

I went 6-8 last week, moving my season mark to a miserable 59-46.

6-8!!!!

Ashamed, baffled and eager to correct my missteps - if only the Progressive Liberal Party could admit when they are this wrong.

I find solace in the idea that Thursday night football features a chance for the Patriots to carve up the all of a sudden - upstart Dolphins.

No long dialogue this week, it’s all business. Here we go:

Thursday Night

Game

Miami Dolphins (3-3)

@ New England

Patriots (6-0)

Patriots are on a mission. The Dolphins have found a way to put there season back together and are now in prime position for a wild card berth.

PATRIOTS

London Game 9:30am

Detroit Lions (1-6) @

Kansas City Chiefs (2-5)

Third London game for the year. This game can go either way, but I have picked the Lions for four consecutive weeks - why stop now!

LIONS

Sunday Games 1pm

Tampa Bay

Buccaneers (2-4) @

Atlanta Falcons (6-1)

Falcons at home.

FALCONS

Arizona Cardinals (5-2)

@ Cleveland Browns (2-5)

Browns have been playing decent recently but the Cardinals are the more complete team.

CARDINALS

San Francisco 49ers (2-5)

@ St Louis Rams (3-3)

St Louis has been trekking forward as an organisation while San Fran has taken a step back in the wake of a tumultuous offseason. 49ers put together a last hurrah!

49ERS

New York Giants (4-3) @ New Orleans Saints (3-4)

Big wins by both teams last week. Eli loves to play in New Orleans - he was born there. Drew Brees looks to be on a mission to prove he still belongs in the upper echelon of QBs in the league.

SAINTS

Minnesota Vikings (4-2)

@ Chicago Bears (2-4)

Big day for Adrian Peterson.

VIKINGS

San Diego Chargers (2-5)

@ Baltimore Ravens (1-6)

The Chargers are struggling but they have the Ravens this week so there is hope. CHARGERS

Cincinnati Bengals (6-0)

@ Pittsburg Steelers (4-3)

There is a chance Ben plays.

STEELERS

Tennessee Titans (1-5)

@ Houston Texans (2-5)

Texans should win this game. They just got rid of Ryan Mallet, releasing him after his missed plane debacle. If Marcus Mariota plays the Titans will win, but if he doesn’t, they don’t have a chance.

TEXANS

Sunday Games 4pm

New York Jets (4-2)

@ Oakland Raiders (3-3)

Raiders are home and they are hot. Jets got punched in the mouth from the Patriots and now understand that there is a step up code in the league…. Pats are tier one, they are tier two. They have a chance to punch a tier three team this week.

RAIDERS

Seattle Seahawks (3-4)

@ Dallas Cowboys (2-4)

At one point on Sunday I wished for a game between two teams that have lost so badly in recent weeks that they have no choice but to be mad and play their best. I got it. Seattle has blown so many leads, but avoided a misstep against the Niners last week. Cowboys - they have some players out that could return, let’s see.

SEAHAWKS

Sunday Night Game

Green Bay Packers (6-0) @ Denver Broncos (6-0)

Both teams undefeated. Broncos are going to need some offence to hang with the Packers. Broncos are home though so that defence might just manage to pull this one out.

PACKERS

Monday Night Game

Indianapolis Colts (3-4)

@ Carolina Panthers (6-0)

Colts have sucked all year. Andrew Luck doesn’t look like himself at all. I have been totally against Cam all year but he has kept his team undefeated. To end a streak all you need is a little Luck.

COLTS

Teams on Bye

Buffalo Bills (3-4)

Philadelphia Eagles (3-4)

Washington Redskins

(3-4)

Jacksonville Jaguars

(2-5)
