TROPICAL Storm Henri formed in the Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday night off Bermuda and is moving slowly north, although forecasters say it currently poses no threat to land.
Henri, the eighth named storm of the 2015 Atlantic hurricane season, is centred 230 miles east-southeast of Bermuda and is not expected to affect the island.
The storm’s maximum sustained winds on Thursday morning are near 40mph and some strengthening is forecast during the next day or so. Beyond that, Henri will curl northeastwards and could brush Newfoundland, Canada, this weekend as a post-tropical cyclone.
