THE Banker’s Athletics Association closed out its softball season at the Banker’s Field in the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex with the Fidelity Bulldogs repeating as champions. They were successful in the best-of-5 championship series, winning in fine fashion with a three-game sweep over the BAF Financial Stars.
“We extend congratulations to Fidelity in once again claiming the championship crown,” according to a press release.
In other sporting news, the BAA also announced the return of volleyball this season. There are at least three teams that are interested in competing and plans will begin immediately to commence that mini season.
But the association revealed that the Banker’s Track Meet at the Thomas A Robinson Track and Field Stadium has been cancelled due to a lack of interest and the Banker’s Bowling 2015/2016 season kicks off October 15 at Mario’s Bowling and Family Entertainment Center.
Also, the association has announced that the Banker’s Basketball will close out the 2015 calendar year. So far, there are six teams interested in participating. Once the gymnasium has been confirmed, the association will provide more information about the event.
“We look forward to hosting some exciting events over the next few months and will keep you informed of the schedules once finalised,” said the release.
