A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after being shot in Flamingo Gardens on Tuesday night.

According to police reports, shortly before 10pm, two men were walking on High Street, Flamingo Gardens, when the occupants of a silver Honda Torino approached and shot one of them before speeding off.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. Police are searching for the suspects.

Officers from the Selective Enforcement Unit have arrested two men for drugs possession after separate searches in New Providence on Tuesday.

Shortly before 1pm, officers searched a home on Anthurium Street, Garden Hills 1, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana. An adult male was taken into custody in connection with this discovery. Four hours later, officers searched a home on Hollywood Road, Winton Meadows, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana. An adult male was taken into custody in connection with this discovery.

Officers from the Mobile Division have seized a shotgun from a Montell Heights home on Ethel Street. According to reports, shortly after 7.30am on Tuesday, officers searched at the rear of a home at Ethel Street where they uncovered an unlicensed shotgun. No one was arrested for this discovery.
