FIVE million dollars worth of suspected cocaine was discovered at the Freeport Container Port on Friday - the largest drug seizure this year in Grand Bahama.
According to reports, law enforcement officers acting on information went to the container port shortly before noon and searched a 20ft container.
Seven duffel bags of suspected cocaine, with the estimated weight of 253lbs were found. The drugs were transported to DEU Office. There was no arrest and investigations are continuing.

So how much will MSC be charged for this under the new stupid law that says the carrier will be fined for all illegal items shipped into the country?

25% of the value, $1.25 Mil right? No, they won't be charged, that rule is designed to penalize Bahamian businesses.

Just looking at More like this story articles above there is roughly $9,000,000. somewhere to have purchased these drugs. Excellent our officers can find these drugs but focus should be on finding the money to buy.
