POLICE are investigating a shooting incident off Cordeaux Avenue that left a man dead on Monday night.

According to reports, shortly after 7pm, a man was standing on Washington Street when a man with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing on foot.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigations are ongoing.

The killing takes the murder toll for 2016 to 104, according to The Tribune's records.

Police are also searching for two men responsible for an armed robbery of a woman at her home in Victoria Gardens on Monday night.

Reports are that shortly after 7pm, the woman had just pulled up at her home when two men with handguns approached and robbed her of her black 2003 Honda Odyssey, license number 283307, before speeding off.
