Brothers Don and Chaz Major are proving you can never be too young to touch the lives of others.

Don, 11, and Chaz, 7, have been writing, performing and sharing their music for the past three years and are now officially introducing themselves to the Bahamian public the gospel rap group Chosen Soldiers.

The duo hopes to capture young souls by using their talents to spread the gospel of Christ. They want to “praise, glorify and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ through music ministry.”

Chosen Soldiers have now completed a three-track CD which includes the songs “Praise the Lord”, “Here I Am”, and “Royal Life”. The brothers have also completed their first music video for “Praise the Lord”.

Don and Chaz want to encourage young Bahamians to come out and help them celebrate their first CD and video release concert tomorrow evening at Kemp Road Ministries beginning 7pm.

The event also features appearances by V-Mac, DJ Counsellor, Vandera, Landlord, Monty Sweat, Shameka Gray, Naji Dun, Eman, and more.

According to Corey “DJ Counsellor” Rolle, who has been working with the group since their start in July 2014, the two brothers are convinced they can change the lives of listeners with their music.

“Chosen Soldiers are the youngest gospel rap group to date in the Bahamas, they are extremely talented,” he said.

“Over the past months I have witnessed these young men living up to their stage name, and I am amazed how committed they are to their walk with God, from donating clothing to inner-city kids, to assisting the elderly after Hurricane Matthew, donating CDs, being a witness and a good example to our nations youth.”

DJ Counsellor said he believes the rap duo has the potential to bridge the gap between the Church and the secular world. “Because of their age they truly believe people would hear the Word and receive God; they have a strong following amongst their peers,” he said. “Their message is, ‘Lord let glory shine in me, so the world can see; it’s all about you, and not about me’.”
