WITH a change in venue from the AF Adderley Gymnasium to the DW Davis Gymnasium, the New Providence Basketball Association (NPBA) continued its regular season action on Wednesday night with Athletico Bahamas and the Mail Boat Cybots securing victories in the the double-header.
While Athletico Bahamas knocked off the Rythm Rebels 84-71, the Cybots pulled off a 98-84 decision over the Double R Services Limited Cleaners.
The NPBA has had to move location to accommodate the preparations at the AF Adderley Gymnasium for the hosting of the prestigious Hugh Campbell Basketball Classic for senior boys basketball teams, which starts on Monday.

Delvonne Duncombe scored 21 points and added five assists to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Mail Boat. Duncombe, playing 25 minutes, was 7-for-16 from the field, 5-for-9 from the three-point line and 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
Three other players were in double figures as Cordero Pinder came off the bench to chip in with 19 points and seven rebounds. Brian ‘Tucker’ Bain contributed 13 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists and All-Star leading performer Livingstone Munnings came off the bench and helped out with 10 points and five rebounds.
Lerecus Armbrister had nine points, four rebounds and two assists; Georgio Walkes had nine points and seven rebounds; Walter Charlton had eight points and three rebounds and Dominique Beadle finished with seven points and five rebounds.
The Mail Boat came from a 27-19 deficit after the first quarter to lead 51-43 at the half. The Cybots used a 24-15 spurt in the third to extend their lead to 75-58 going into the final break. And in the fourth, while the Cleaners out-scored them 26-23, it was a little too late.
The Cybots held a 34-21 advantage in rebounds and committed 27 turnovers, compared to 21 by the Cleaners.
Romell Johnson, in 26 minutes, scored 19 points with two rebounds and two assists to lead the Cleaners. Tamiko King had 18 points, six rebounds and three assists; Raynard Minus had 13 points; Herbert Knowles 12 points, four rebounds and three assists; Franz Smith Jr had 10 points and nine rebounds and Stephen Culmer Jr had eight points and 17 rebounds.

Cameron Adderley, playing 33 minutes and 48 seconds, pumped in a game high 28 points with 12 rebounds and four assists to lead the winners. Adderley was 11-for-15 from the field, 3-for-4 from the three-point line and 3-for-4 from the free throw line.
Shakwon Lewis came off the bench and sparked their rally with 25 points, seven assists and five rebounds; Dylan Musgrove had 11 points, five rebounds and three assists; Jamaris King had eight points and six rebounds and Jeron Smith came up with six points, five rebounds and four assists.
Athletico led 23-13 after the first quarter and held onto a 41-31 advantage at the half.
The Rebels chipped the deficit to 59-55 at the end of the third, but Athletico went on a 25-16 tear in the fourth to preserve the win.
The Rebels out-rebounded Athletico 52-50 and the teams were level with 21 turnovers.
Rashard Williams paced the Rebels with 22 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Devon Brennen came off the bench with 13 points and seven rebounds. Jorann Adderley added nine points, five rebounds and five assists; Anthony Williams had eight points and 14 rebounds of the bench and Craig Buchanan added six points.
The NPBA will be back in action tonight with another double-header. In the opener at 7.30pm, the Pirates will take on the Real Deal Shockers. In the feature contest at 9pm, Mr Ship It Freight Regulators will meet the Commonwealth Bank Giants.
